The 2008 Apple Butter Festival will be held on October 25th and 26th. The hours of the event are 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. You must apply for a Special Events License by sending a written request and a business size self-addressed and stamped envelope to: Apple Butter Festival PO Box 27 Kimmswick MO 63053-0027 RATES: Crafter spaces are $130.00 per space, for the two-day weekend. Food Vendors are $230.00 per space. All food vendors must have a license through the Jefferson County Health Dept., Call 636-797-3737, ext 2. Your Health Dept. License and proof of insurance must be provided to the City prior to your City License being issued. Electric is $35.00 additional, and is limited to a few food vendors. PARKING: After your license has been approved, it will be sent to you along with a 'Vendor Unloading Permit'. This can be used for ACCESS to town to UNLOAD ONLY! You will not be allowed to park on any City Streets. You will need to unload your vehicle and then move it to the designated parking lots as soon as possible. We have had a great deal of success in eliminating congestion by the use of assigned set-up times. They are 7-7:30, 7:30-8:00 A.M. Please try to have your vehicle moved as close to this time as possible. Regardless of circumstances, such as late arrival, you MUST have your vehicle moved out of town before 8:30 A.M. Imperial Youth Association will again provide parking on their 'fields' coming into town on 'K' Highway. There is a nominal charge. The City will again furnish shuttle bus service from the Windsor School complex. SPACES: Space size is 10' x 10', any tents, booths, tables or chairs will have to be furnished by each individual licensee. You will be sent a map of the lot you are on, and your spaces will be indicated on the map, as well as on the upper right-hand corner of your license. This will be the only area you will be allowed to sell from. Since one page of the application will serve as your license form, please do not write any notes on the application itself. Just attach a separate piece of paper to the application. SET-UP: You will not be allowed to pull any vehicles onto any of the booth areas to unload. Please do not block any driveways. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PARK ON ANY CITY STREETS. You can park to UNLOAD ONLY. Areas A & B will be marked off by Wednesday morning, so you can start setting up your booth anytime after that. However, since we do have residents to consider, we ask that you do not begin before 7:00 A.M. Someone will be at City Hall all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday if you need any assistance. SECURITY: You are allowed to leave things in your booth overnight, but the City does not accept any responsibility for its safety. The City shall not be liable for any loss or damage to any merchandise or personal property in or about the booth, regardless of the cause of such loss or damage. SALES TAX: Each vendor will be responsible for collection and payment of Missouri Sales Tax. If you need a Sales Tax chart for Kimmswick or a remittance form, they will be available at City Hall both days of the event. Participants are responsible for their merchandise and equipment in case of loss or damage. The Festival Committee, The City of Kimmswick, its officers, agents or employees shall be held free from and against any and all expenses, claims, actions, liabilities, attorney fees, damages and losses of any kind whatsoever, actually or allegedly, resulting from or connected with the operation of said booth. There is no refund due to inclement weather. Absolutely no refund will be issued for cancellations after September 15th. NO EXCEPTIONS!!! The City reserves the right to accept or refuse any and all applications. QUESTIONS: If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call.
